Life has a way of shifting priorities and reshaping the paths we take. For Madison Singer – a professional lawyer by education, wife, mother of two young boys, and now part of her family’s business – the past few years have been a whirlwind of change. Two close pregnancies left her body feeling unfamiliar and uncooperative, and for the first time, Madison wasn’t sure how to get back on track.
That’s when Pilates entered her life.
Why Pilates Was the Answer
Madison started Pilates as a way to reconnect with her body after pregnancy.
“My body no longer felt like my own.”
As a former athlete, she was used to having a coach push her, motivate her, and keep her accountable. Left to her own devices, she struggled to find the right rhythm. Strength that once felt natural seemed out of reach. Muscles she had never really thought about before were suddenly weak. The body that had carried her through powerlifting and CrossFit now felt foreign.
Pilates offered her something different—a chance to rebuild from the ground up. Instead of chasing personal records or lifting heavier weights, she found a mindful, intentional way to strengthen her body and restore confidence in her movement.
Finding Confidence (and Kimberly) at Today Pilates

Sometimes the best advice comes from the people who know us best. For Madison, it was her mom who encouraged her to give Today Pilates a try.
“I chose Today Pilates with Kimberly because my mom pushed me to. Even at 31 years old mammas still know best. However, I was very self conscious and did not think I would be able to make it through my first class.“
What she found, however, was a welcoming environment and a teacher who knew how to strike the perfect balance. Kimberly’s ability to challenge while encouraging gave Madison the confidence to keep showing up. Madison explains that Kimberly consistently gives her the confidence of knowing she’ll be pushed to her limits while still being met exactly where she is.
That combination of accountability and empathy was exactly what she needed to begin believing in herself again.
Results That Keep Her Coming Back
Ten months later, the results speak for themselves. Madison has lost 25 pounds, but even more importantly, she feels strong, steady, and capable again.
“The reason I continue taking Pilates is simple—I see and feel the results. I have finally started to feel back in control of my body and its movements.”
Her workouts no longer feel like punishment or a reminder of what she lost. Instead, they have become a source of empowerment and a way to regain ownership of her body.
Considering Pilates? Don’t Overthink, Just Start!
Madison knows firsthand how intimidating that first class can feel.
“When I started I felt like the least capable person taking a Pilates class. Not only was I no where near my typical weight and strength but I also had never taken any classes close to what Pilates is.”
Her expectations were almost nonexistent, but showing up made all the difference. Now, nearly a year later, she is stronger, leaner, and more confident than ever.
Her advice for anyone thinking about trying Pilates is simple: “If I can do it, you can.”
25 Pounds Lost and a Life Transformed
Madison’s story is more than just about weight loss or fitness milestones—it’s about transformation. Pilates has helped her slow down, rebuild, and find strength in places she didn’t know she had it. For the first time in years, she feels fully at home in her own body.
No one is “too far gone” or “too out of shape” to begin again. Whether you’re an athlete trying to reclaim strength, a parent rebuilding after pregnancy, or someone simply wanting to feel better in your skin, Pilates has something to offer.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. Sometimes, all it takes is the willingness to try.
